Get Tough on Sex Offenders
Mr. Surhada brough this issue to light in April 2005, which
was then adopted by the Legislature later the same year.

Hats off to the Schenectady City School District for arming
parents with the most lethal weapon in the war on predatory
molesters: information. Level 3 predators have the greatest
chance of repeating their evil behavior, and it is high time
that school districts, local and state government steps up to
the plate to begin treating these rapists, molesters and murderers
different than pickpockets. They are the most savage of any
offender: they sexually prey on, and often murder defenseless
children.
Sadly when we discuss ways to protect children, our legal system
runs into the brick wall of political correctness: the ACLU.
The liberal politicians and judges are just as morally bankrupt
for not doing the right thing to stop this evil. The ACLU conjures
up the threat of vigilante justice, which is a myth. It is a
red herring designed to deflect sympathy and concern from the
victims, to the perpetrators.
Where was the ACLU when Jessica Luncefords rights were
violated? Worse yet the ACLU wants you to think that informing
parents is even more worse: the veiled threat that they will
go underground if they arent allowed to mingle with our
children, unbeknownst to all. They are encouraging sex predators
to do so. A justice system that had common sense instead of
misplaced compassion would deem that criminal conspiracy and
make these counselors accessories to the crime

Lets go further to prevent these devastating atrocities
committed against the little ones. Put these animals in jail longer,
and if they have to be released, then commit them to mental hospitals,
After all the liberals say: they are not evil, but mentally ill.
Having that option removed by the liberal judges, they should
be put in boot camps inside of special compounds, and only be
allowed to leave wearing GPS ankle bracelets like the slightly
less dangerous Martha Stewart. If judges cant see the humanity
in saving children, then they should not be judges anymore.
And last, we at the local level should be more vigilant in designing
laws that would discourage landlords from renting to level 3 offenders
in residential neighborhoods. The fact is that these animals choose
to destroy the lives of children, and we as a society have chosen
liberal political correctness instead of real justice. We need
to provide real and harsh punishment to predators, and do everything
in our power to stop them from repeating their terrible deeds.
But we need moral courage to do so, and that moral courage is
lacking in our current legal environment.
